Clear, Fair Pricing

Simple fees that scale as you grow

Looking for honest, upfront pricing for accounting services? We believe in transparent fees with no hidden surprises. We’re clear about our costs because we know that understanding your financial commitments is crucial when running a family business.

How much do accountancy services cost?

Every business has its own unique needs, challenges, and goals. That’s why you won’t find a one-size-fits-all price list on most accountants’ websites. The cost of your accountancy services depends on several factors: your business size, the complexity of your finances, how frequently you need support, and what level of planning you’re looking for.

We know this might not be the exact answer you’re hoping for. But here’s what we can tell you: Our pricing is based on providing value, not just completing tax returns. Whatever the nature of your business, we’ll create a package that fits your specific situation. And we’ll always explain our fees clearly before you commit.

What shapes your accounting costs?

Your accounting fees are influenced by three key factors that reflect how much support your business needs.

Business size & turnover

The scale of your operation affects the complexity of your accounting needs. A larger turnover typically requires more detailed financial planning and more frequent support.

Record-keeping quality

How you manage your day-to-day finances makes a big difference. Using online accounting software keeps costs down, while sorting through paper receipts takes more time.

Transaction volume

The number of items we handle – from employee payroll to supplier invoices – affects the work involved. More transactions mean more processing time.

OK, but what will my accounting actually cost?

While every business is different, we want to give you a clear picture of what you might expect to pay. As a guide, most of our family business clients (£500k-£2m turnover) spend between £400-£800 per month on their core accounting needs. This typically covers annual accounts, tax returns, payroll, and regular bookkeeping.

We’ve broken down our main services below to help you understand what makes up these costs, but remember – we’ll always provide a clear, tailored quote after learning about your specific needs.

Common questions about our pricing

We believe in complete transparency about costs. Here are answers to the questions we’re often asked about our fees.

Do you offer fixed monthly fees or is everything charged separately?

We offer both options. Many of our clients prefer a fixed monthly package that covers all core services, but we can also provide pay-as-you-go services if that better suits your needs. We’ll discuss both options during our first chat.

How does switching to Xero accounting software affect my fees?

Using Xero typically reduces your monthly costs by 15-25% as it automates many processes and improves record quality. We can help with the switch and provide training as part of your service package.

What happens if my business grows beyond £2m turnover?

We grow with you. Your fee structure will adjust gradually as your business expands, and we’ll review your service package every six months to ensure it still matches your needs.

Do you charge extra for meetings and phone calls?

Regular check-ins are included in our monthly packages. For clients on pay-as-you-go services, we provide clear guidance on any additional costs before they’re incurred.

Can I spread the cost of annual services like tax returns across the year?

Yes, many clients include annual services in their monthly payment plan. This helps with cash flow and ensures there are no surprise bills at year-end.
